The report analyzes the disappearance of women in central Mexico—Mexico City, State of Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, and Tlaxcala—highlighting its persistent nature and the lack of institutional coordination. Based on the Observatory on Disappearance and Impunity in Mexico’s methodology, the study applies a gender perspective to understand the intersection of criminal, state, and gender-based violence, proposing stronger coordination and information-sharing mechanisms to improve search and justice processes.
